THE ACADEMY
Desert DANCE Academy offers high calibar dance training in classical ballet, plus many selections in hip hop, jazz, modern, lyrical, pilates, tap, ballroom, and cultural dances to inspire and educate all levels of training and interests. Desert DANCE Academy has an award winning faculty of professional dance instructors and choreographers.
All with professional dance experience and training. The dance company is led by ex-prima ballerina/choreographer and commercial actress Catherine Demonchaux. Catherine has directed and staged local productions offered by Desert DANCE Academy at the ANNENBERG THEATER of the Palm Springs Art Museum since 2004. Desert Dance Academy's community performances offer wonderful family entertainment. Beautiful productions including the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Coppelia, and Swan Lake have been presented in full length at Annenberg Theater with both local amateur and professional talent.
Programs at DDA are offered year round with the addition of master classes, competitions, summer camps, educational forums, workshops, and local community and non-profit events.
